Tony Monda, who led the early marketing efforts at Workhorse Custom Chassis LLC, has returned to Workhorse as its new vice president of RV sales and marketing.
According to a press release, Monda takes over the position from Bob Wert, who retired last month after spearheading the development and launch of the new Workhorse UFO rear-engine chassis.
Monda previously served as Workhorse director of RV marketing before leaving in 2003 to pursue a leadership position with Haulmark Industries Inc., a leading manufacturer of specialty-enclosed trailers.
Monda joined Workhorse during its start-up phase in 1999 after a 20-year career in sales and marketing for Safety-Kleen Corp., an environmental recovery firm.
“Tony was an integral part of Workhorse’s early success and everyone is excited to have him back with us,” said Dave Olsen, president of Union City, Ind.-based Workhorse. “Tony helped position our brand and was the architect for the aggressive marketing approach associated with the introduction of the W-22 and other Workhorse innovations that made their mark in the motorized RV market.”
