Vince Monza, the general manager of Fleetwood’s motorhome manufacturing complex in Decatur, Ind., has been named to replace John Weiss as vice president of the Motorhome Group, Fleetwood Senior Vice President Paul Bingham confirmed.

Monza is a veteran Fleetwood employee. Before becoming the head of the company’s largest motorhome assembly operation, Monza was a director of sales for Fleetwood’s Travel Trailer Division and he was general manager of Fleetwood’s towable RV assembly plant in Longview, Tex.

The departure of Weiss and his boss, Dick Parks, senior vice president of the RV Group, occurred recently because Fleetwood’s senior management is unhappy with the performance of the motorhome division so far this year.

Fleetwood management does not plan to immediately replace Parks because it is downsizing the company to fit the RV and manufactured home producer to current market conditions.

Until Parks is replaced, Monza, Carl Betcher, vice president-Towables Group and Pat Scanlon, vice president-Folding Trailers, will report directly to Fleetwood President Nelson Potter.
