A north-central Minnesota resort and campground that has operated for more than a century is on the market as its owners prepare for retirement, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Troy and Nancy Loren are seeking $5.1 million for Little Boy Resort and Campground, an 11-acre property on Little Boy Lake near Longville. The resort, founded in 1915, includes nine cabins, 18 campsites, 25 RV sites, a recently built lodge, an owners’ residence and the newly added Front Porch Tavern.
The Lorens have operated the resort for 22 years and say the sale is part of a long-term plan to retire after turning 60. The couple turned 60 this year.
The Lorens expanded the business in recent years to meet demand from larger family groups. The investments included larger four-bedroom cabins and construction of a roughly 9,000-square-foot lodge that opened in 2022, Loren said. The lodge is home to the newly added restaurant, four lodge suites and a 3,800-square-foot owners’ residence.
