The retail market for Class A and Class C motorhomes remained soft during June, according to data gathered by Statistical Surveys Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich.
Retail sales of Class A’s declined 19.9% in June to 3,402 units, compared with 4,247 Class A’s retailed during June 2000, according to Statistical Surveys, an independent market research firm.
Meanwhile, retail sales of Class C’s fell 30.6% in June to 1,576 units, compared with 2,270 Class C’s retailed a year earlier.
During the second quarter, the Class A retail market was off 15% to 9,535 units and the Class C retail market was down 23.8% to 4,413 units.
After the first half of this year, the Class A retail market was down 19.1% to 17,003 units and the Class C retail market was down 23.8% to 7,056 units.
