The retail market for Class A and Class C motorhomes remained sluggish during May, according to data gathered by Statistical Surveys Inc., an independent market research firm.
Retail sales of Class A’s declined 25.3% in May to 2,478 units, compared with 3,316 units retailed during May 2000, Statistical Surveys reports.
After the first five months of this year, retail sales of Class A’s were down 22.3% to 13,038 units.
Meanwhile, retail sales of Class C’s declined 29.4% in May to 1,249 units, compared with 1,770 units retailed a year earlier.
After the first five months of this year, retail sales of Class C’s were down 23.9% to 5,321 units.
