MVP RV Inc. showed its new line of Coast ultra-lightweight travel trailers at the RV Dealers Convention in Las Vegas just three months after management members from regional builder Thor California Inc. bought out the company from parent Thor Industries Inc. According to MVP officials, “reducing drag” was a key component in the design of the Coast trailers, currently available in seven floorplans in 19- to 31-foot lengths with most weighing less than 4,800 pounds. Laminated on five sides, the units also feature a patented crowned roof, airfoil on the rear end and enclosed underbelly to improve aerodynamics. Standard features include a 27-inch TV, 50-gallon freshwater tank, rear bike rack and four stabilizer jacks. Interiors offer cherry wood paneling, “bold” colors in the bathroom, forward queen bed and shirt wardrobes with recessed lighting. MSRP’s range from $20,000-$25,000.
