Meyer’s RV Super Stores, a six-location dealership in western New York, has agreed to join the Holiday Holdings LLC dealership alliance, according to Marcus Lemonis, Holiday Holdings’ president.
The deal is expected to formally close at the end of February, according to Mark Meyer, president of Meyer’s RV, who will become the Holiday Holdings regional president responsible for New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and a portion of Pennsylvania.
Meyer will split Pennsylvania with John A. Sirpilla, who sold his dealership, Sirpilla RV Super Center of Akron, Ohio, to Holiday Holdings in a deal that closed on Jan. 2. Sirpilla is the Holiday Holdings regional president responsible for Ohio, Michigan and western Pennsylvania.
Meyer’s RV operates two locations in Hamburg, N.Y., a suburb of Buffalo, along with stores in Bath, Caledonia, Syracuse and Churchville, a suburb of Rochester. The company achieved $120 million in sales revenue in 2003 and had forecast $140 million in sales in 2004. However, because of the Holiday Holdings alliance, Meyer said, that forecast might be exceeded.
Meyer also said the dealership plans to open a Camping World aftermarket accessories store at its newer Hamburg location during the fourth quarter of this year and that Camping World stores will be added at other locations in the future.
Holiday Holdings was founded last year by Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) Chairman Stephen Adams. Camping World is an AGI subsidiary, as is TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.COM.
