Editors at NADAguides.com, the web portal for N.A.D.A. Appraisal Guides, recently announced their Top Vehicles of Summer 2005 choices.
The following lists the winners in the recreational vehicle, conversion van, truck and SUV categories:
* Top RV: Fleetwood RV’s 2005 Pace Arrow 36D features a 23-foot, 30-inch deep, full-wall slideout and 84″ ceiling height. Lenny Sims, managing RV editor and vice president of NADAguides.com, says this is the recreational vehicle to watch out for in the summer season. “The spaciousness and the overall design appeal of this year’s Pace Arrow 36D makes it an excellent choice for RV shoppers,” said Sims.
* Top Van Conversion: The 2005 Sportsmobile 4WD is spacious and offers several unique features, including an expandable penthouse that increases the vehicle’s overall height to 91.8″, and 6.8 liter V-10 or 6.0 liter diesel engine choices. “This vehicle provides the performance and roominess necessary to handle virtually any outdoor adventure,” said Don Christy Jr., CEO of NADAguides.com. “Best of all, it looks great.”
* Top Truck: The Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona is equipped with a 345-hp hemi engine and distinctive styling. “The styling is reminiscent of the Daytona Charger of the late sixties and the big rear spoiler is one of the same features that helped Dodge dominate NASCAR this year,” said Mark Perleberg, lead auto expert at NADAguides.com.
* Top SUV: The 2005 Range Rover HSE has several key features, including stand-alone SUV styling, a rugged drive train and a Bentley-like interior. “This vehicle has off-road capabilities that will astonish even the most serious four-wheelers,” said Perleberg.
