An Elkhart County supplier recently broke ground on a 75,000-square-foot facility in Nappanee, Ind., according to a report in the Elkhart Truth.
Nappanee Window, which manufactures aluminum doors and ramps for RVs, including toyhaulers, is planning to move from its existing facility into the new plant by April.
According to President Evan Bontrager, Nappanee Window supplies all the leading manufacturers in the Elkhart County area and hopes to expand to the West Coast in the coming year.
The new plant is being built on a 13-acre site that also will accommodate a companion facility that Bontrager anticipates will be operational in the next few years.
Nappanee Window has 88 employees at the existing plant and will add more workers as it moves into the new facility in the spring.
