Dr. Brady Barr, who has appeared in more than 60 National Geographic Society films and television shows, will relate his close encounters with some of the world’s most ferocious crocodiles at “Outlook 2009: We’ve Got Heart!,” which kicks off the 46th Annual National RV Trade Show, Dec. 2-4.
The National Geographic Society’s resident reptile expert for more than a decade, Barr is the first scientist ever to capture and study all 23 species of crocodiles in the wild. Go RVing will be a sponsor of Barr’s popular show, “Dangerous Encounters With Brady Barr,” beginning in 2009.
The Outlook event will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a complimentary sit-down breakfast in the Kentucky Exposition Center’s (KEC) South Wing C Mezzanine Ballroom.
Hosted by RVIA Chairman Jim Sheldon, Outlook 2009 will also feature “Straight From the Heart,” RVIA President Richard Coon’s insights on the industry and where it is headed.
Other highlights include:
• Go RVing Coalition co-chairmen Don Walter and Tom Stinnett of Tom Stinnett RV Freedom Center will be joined by RVIA Chief Marketing Officer Gary LaBella to examine how the national advertising campaign is positioning the industry to grow as the economy improves.
• RVIA Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson and LaBella will highlight the year’s publicity successes and strategies for continued growth.
• R&B pioneers The Drifters are slated to entertain the early-morning crowd.
