ATHENS, Texas — The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) has named Ron Burns its new school director, according to a press release. Burns brings leadership experience spanning the construction industry, workplace safety, entrepreneurship, business development and career education.

In his new role, Burns will focus on strengthening the student training experience — from hands-on instruction in the classroom and labs through graduation — so students can build the practical skills, confidence and professional foundation needed to pursue career and business opportunities in the RV service industry.
“NRVTA has an exceptional team and tremendous potential,” Burns said. “I’m excited to support the people who have built this community, listen to their ideas and help create an environment where everyone can continue getting better every day. When a team communicates well and works toward a shared purpose, great things can happen.”
“We are thrilled to have Ron lead the NRVTA business,” said Heavy Equipment Colleges of America CEO Cory Albano. “Ron brings an ability to connect with people that will bode well for our team and our students as well as connecting with the market as a whole. Our graduates possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and it is important that we connect that spirit with key stakeholders like dealers, manufacturers and various RV communities in the sector.”
Experience in Career Education
Burns graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and began his career in the construction industry before becoming an entrepreneur and operating a construction safety business in Dallas for 15 years.
He later served as Vice President of Business Development for Heavy Equipment Colleges of America, where he gained experience supporting career-focused education and building relationships between schools, employers and industry partners.
That combination of business and education experience gives Burns a valuable perspective as NRVTA continues providing hands-on training for RV owners, RV service technicians and RV inspectors.
“What stood out to me about NRVTA was the sense of team and community,” Burns said. “There is already a strong foundation here. My job is to support the current team, students and the market as a whole, communicate clearly and help us stay focused on becoming better at what we do each day so that we can put our students on the path they chose.”
