Executives at National RV Holdings Inc. are pleased with the dealer body’s reception to the new National RV-brand gas- and diesel-engine Class A motorhomes with triple-slide floorplans, the company reported today (March 11).
Included among the triple-slide offerings is the entry-level diesel Tropi-Cal.
A healthy backlog of dealer orders was accumulated during the RV industry’s National Trade Show in early December and “first-quarter production at National has been focused on the new triple-slide floorplan products as well as the reintroduced, entry-level Sea Breeze gas product,” said Brad Albrechtsen, president and CEO.
However, he added, “Reduction of National RV-brand finished-goods inventory continues to be a high priority. Though incentives are available to help move this product, competitors have announced their own incentive programs, making it more difficult to create demand using these techniques.”
The company views the winter and spring consumer show season as providing “the opportunity to deliver these excess products,” Albrechtsen said.
Meanwhile, at National RV Holdings’ Country Coach Inc. subsidiary, shipments of the new Inspire diesel pusher will begin during the second quarter.
The Inspire is a “lower-priced diesel coach that will compete in a higher volume segment of the market than the traditional Country Coach products,” according to the company.
