Attendees visit Lippert booth at NATM Convention

The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers’ (NATM) 26th Annual Convention & Trade Show last week (Feb. 26-28) at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa Pavilion in Las Vegas generated an increase in terms of sponsorships, exhibitors, trailer manufacturing attendees and workshop registrants, the Topeka, Kan.-based trade association for commercial and cargo trailers reports.

Over 150 suppliers were on hand for the Las Vegas show.

“Compared to the previous year,” NATM states in a release, “there was an increase of over $22,000 in sponsorship donations, and, thanks to these supporting NATM members, the trade show and convention was both informative and productive for trailer manufacturers and suppliers. The trade show was sold out with a record number of preregistrations for trailer manufacturing attendees.”

The first annual “Technical Forum” was particularly productive, including oversight of the SAE Brake Standard, while workshops and a session with keynoter Lowell B. Catlett, dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University, were particularly well received.

As for awards, the NATM Green Manufacturing Award went to Aluminum Trailer Co., which, in turn, donated its award money to the Goshen (Ind.) Farmers Market.

NATM Past President Gary Potter received the “Outstanding Member” award, which goes to a member who has made a significant contribution to the trailer manufacturing industry, while the “Associate Member” award went to RSM McGladrey. Outgoing board member awards honored Ryan Sailer and Brandyn Chapman for their service and support of NATM.
