Casino owner/operator Sands Regent is confident the Nevada Gaming Commission will give final approval on Thursday (May 16) to its plan to buy the Gold Ranch Casino and RV Resort in Verdi, Nev.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board gave its approval to Sand Regent’s proposal during its meeting on May 1.
The Gold Ranch Casino and RV Resort is located 12 miles west of Reno and includes a 105-space RV park, 300 slot machines in an 8,000-square-foot casino, two restaurants, two bars, a California lottery station and an ARCO gas station and convenience store.
If the gaming commission gives its approval on Thursday, Sands Regent anticipates completing the Gold Ranch acquisition on June 1.
The deal will be financed by the Nevada State Bank. The transaction price was not revealed.
Sands Regent owns and operates the 850-room Sands Regent Casino and Hotel in downtown Reno.
