Specialty aluminum trailer and bus conversion manufacturer Featherlite Inc. has appointed a new president/CEO and a new vice president of sales and service for its Luxury Coach Division.
Jim Wooley was named president and CEO of the division, which builds the Vantare H3-45 and XLII models, and Preston Watts was appointed vice president of sales and service.
Wooley, who joined Featherlite in February, was vice president of operations and COO of Featherlite’s Luxury Coach Division immediately prior to his promotion.
Before joining Featherlite, Wooley was CEO or COO of five different firms, including Tuloma Energies Inc., a publicly traded oil field services company.
Before becoming a corporate executive, Wooley was managing partner of Hall, Stockwell and Wooley, an Oklahoma law firm that specialized in representing small to mid-sized firms.
“Jim Wooley has made a tremendous contribution to Featherlite Luxury Coaches,” said Conrad Clement, Featherlite’s president and CEO. “His management skills run deep and taking the responsibilities as president of the Featherlite Luxury Coach Division further strengthens the company’s top management structure.”
Meanwhile, Wooley said, “The dedication and support I received from our Featherlite Vantare employees since coming to the company has enabled us to achieve, much quicker, our objective of producing the finest quality and most innovative Prevost conversion on the market today.
“I look forward to continuing to lead Featherlite Luxury Coach and its employees to exceed their own expectations and to introducing new and exciting innovations to our line of coaches,” Wooley added.
Concerning Watts, he has 12 years experience in banking and finance and over 20 years experience in manufacturing. Watts joined Featherlite in 1996 as a cost accountant and later became director of sales administration and service.
As vice president, Watts now heads the Luxury Coach Division’s “efforts in developing strategies, objectives and programs for the sales and marketing activities,” Wooley said.
“The luxury coach lifestyle is a growing market offering many exciting opportunities,” Watts added. “Our customers know there is no better way to see America, witness exciting events, make new acquaintances and keep in touch with old friends than in a Featherlite Vantare.”
