Nick Eppert has been named manager of Keystone RV Co.’s Springdale product line, replacing Fred Hershberger, who was named product manager for Keystone’s Laredo series,
Keystone, a subsidiary of Thor Industries Inc., whioch has its headquarters in Goshen, Ind., is the nation’s largest manufacturer of travel trailers and fifth wheels. Springdale, one of the company’s first brands, was named in 2001 the best value in the U.S. in travel trailers and fifth wheels by an independent consumer group.
Eppert is a Northern Indiana native and an 11-year veteran of RV sales and management. He entered the RV business following his graduation from Bowling Green University, Bowling Green, Ohio, with a marketing major. His product experience ranges from Class A and C motorhomes to fifth-wheels and travel trailers.
“I have had the great pleasure of working with Nick for 10-plus years, going back prior to the beginning of Keystone RV Co. in 1996,” said Don Clark, group senior vice president of the Keystone division, which includes Springdale and Laredo. “I am extremely confident in his leadership ability and in his insights in regard to designing products that will continue to allow Springdale to dominate its price-point market.”
During the time Hershberger guided Springdale, the brand grew to become one of the Top 10 towables models in the retail makret. It ranked No. 6 in terms of retail market share in the combined travel-trailer and fifth-wheel category during the first quarter of this year, according to Statistical Surveys Inc., an independent market research firm.
“Springdale and Springdale dealers have a great deal of momentum in the marketplace,” Eppert said. “We fully intend to build on that momentum by continuing to provide the most innovative, price-competitive, value-packed product to our dealers and the retail consumer.”
