Today’s RVs, a monthly consumer-oriented RV magazine that will be distributed on newstands and at several hundred campgrounds, will debut with a 72,000-copy run in December.
“I’m enthused about the RV market,” said Greg Willson, CEO of Sky Publishing LLC, Oxford, Ala. “It’s an untapped market for me.”
Sky Publishing has targeted selling Today’s RVs at up to 400 campgrounds, including Encore and Sunburst Resorts, he said.
Wilson said the family-oriented magazine, produced primarily by freelance writers, will focus on new RV products, destinations, features on “super” parks, how-to tips and manufacturing news.
“I want to have the latest RV news and tell people what’s happening in the trailer and motorhome manufacturing companies,” Wilson said.
Camprounds can sell Today’s RVs for $1 dollar below the $3.99 newstand price, Wilson said.
Wilson, the former publisher of Aviation Market Center and Cabin Class magazines, previously directed the creation of an RV section for Sportsman Gear magazine, published by Cornett Publishing Inc.
