In the latest lawsuit filed in McClain County (Okla.) District Court against Sooner RV, Regina Clark and Brett Clark, a 92-year-old widower accuses the couple and their business of stealing his life savings and his recreational vehicle, the Purcell Register reported.
In the lawsuit, Edward Johnson’s attorney states the Clarks sold Johnson an RV they had on consignment for $75,000.
Johnson paid $54,000 cash and the $21,000 difference was covered by the trade in of his 1999 Pace Arrow RV.
According to the lawsuit, the Clarks sold the Pace Arrow, keeping the proceeds from that sale, as well as Johnson’s cash payment.
However, they refused to provide Johnson title to the RV he purchased or return his $54,000.
Johnson’s lawsuit, which seeks more than $75,000, brings to more than $397,800 total claims against Sooner RV and the couple.
