Bronze acrylic ceiling mirrors throughout with leather furniture and a 41-inch plasma TV in the living room are among the high-end amenities on this luxury 2007 custom-designed 45-foot Newell diesel pusher shown March 20-23 at the Family Motor Coach Association’s (FMCA) 75th Annual Convention at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. Featuring four 2 1/2-foot-deep, flat-floor slideouts, Newell Coach Corp., Miami, Okla., contends Coach No. 801’s 540 square feet of living space is the most offered in any Class A motorhome. Adding to the coach’s livability is a “Murphy bed,” that disappears into a curbside slideout that also is equipped with a closet and nightstands. “The ‘Murphy bed’ gives our customers a second room to use as a den or another living room,” said Boyd Vanover, vice president of engineering. Built on Newell’s proprietary 59,580-pound GVWR semi-monocoque chassis with a 625-hp Caterpillar C15 diesel engine, this custom coach retails for $1.16 million, and was sold conditionally during the Pomona show.
