Class A motorhome and highline fifth-wheel manufacturer Newmar Corp., has hired John Sammut, most recently of Fleetwood Enterprises Inc.’s RV division, and Jeff Cripe, who was with Thor Industries Inc.’s Keystone RV Co., to executive positions.
Sammut, who was Fleetwood’s western regional sales director for motorhomes, was named Newmar’s director of sales.
Cripe, a sales and product manager at travel-trailer and fifth-wheel manufacturer Keystone, was named Newmar’s director of towable sales.
Additionally, Newmar named Rod Stump, most recently the engineering manager at office furniture manufacturer Stow Davis, a unit of Steelcase Inc., as director of motorized engineering.
Also, Wayne Quigley, who was a senior technical specialist at accounting firm Crowe Chizek & Co., was named Newmar’s director of information technology.
In his new role, Sammut is responsible for directing, managing and coordinating Newmar’s sales activities.
Meanwhile, Cripe is responsible for directing, managing and coordinating Newmar’s towables sales activities.
Stump now is responsible for directing, managing and coordinating Newmar’s motorhome product engineering activities and Quigley is responsible for creating and implementing Newmar’s IT strategy.
All four new executives were hired a few days prior to Newmar’s national dealer seminar in Hollywood, Fla., which concluded on Saturday (June 12).
