Newmar Corp. had the fourth highest growth in revenue of private companies in the state of Indiana for 2002, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal, the company reports in a corporate release.
Positive consumer awareness of the Nappanee, Ind.-based RV manufacturer’s products is a key ingredient to the company’s fiscal stature, says Gary Shuder, Newmar’s executive vice president of finance and administration.
“Our goal is not to get bigger; our goal is to get better,” Schuder stated. “We emphasize quality and customer service, and, with the RV customer, I think that is a combination that seems to work very well. We combine that with a dealer network that is very consumer- and service-oriented.”
Established in 1968, the motorized and towable RV builder is “an innovator and leader in the RV manufacturing industry and recognized nationally for its excellence in quality,” the company states in its Aug. 4 release.
Privately owned Newmar employs over 900 and oversees a dealer network that extends throughout the U.S. and Canada.
