Craig Alexander, former executive with Nappanee, Ind.-based Newmar Corp., passed away at the age of 69 on Sept. 7 in Jones, Mich. He was 69.
Alexander worked in the RV industry for 35 years, eventually serving as vice president of sales and marketing for Newmar before retiring in 2005.
He was born in Elkhart, Ind., and attended Concord High School, where he participated in baseball, basketball, football, track and field, and cross-country, and earned 11 varsity letters.
Craig was an avid golfer, a fly fisherman, and an ardent New York Yankees fan. He is remembered as a fierce father, a beloved husband and true gentleman.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Alexander; his children, Aarica (Erik) Sovine, Ashley (Tyler) Avery-Miller, Ryan (Rebekah) Canfield, Aaron Scott (Joanna) Alexander, Adam Craig Alexander; and his 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Alexander, his brother, David Alexander, and his daughter, Amber Alexander.
A celebration of his life was held on Sept. 17 at Elcona Country Club with light refreshments to follow. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his arrangements.
