The National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) has issued a clarification update on a Forest River Inc. recall announced earlier this week that involves 100 2019-2020 Coachmen Beyond, Crossfit and Galleria motorhomes.

The original notice led some to mistakenly believe that the recall involved the LI3 lithium ion power system, which is not the case. The recall is isolated to a wiring connection to the ProAir AC system, according to Mike Becker, head of corporate compliance at Forest River Inc.

“We worked with NHTSA and revised our recall to remove the reference to LI3 power system, because it has nothing to do with LI3. The LI3 system has performed flawlessly. This is simply only about that undersized and unprotected wiring to the AC unit,” Becker told RVBUSINESS.com.

Becker added that the recall procedure for this issue remains the same.
