The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued recall notices for the following products related to the recreational vehicle industry:
• 240 Suburban Manufacturing Co. portable outdoor cooktops, Model SDN2h with Part No. 2965A, produced between December 2007 and May 2008. A section of the flexible hose connecting the gas supply from the trailer to the gas control manifold in the cooktop was determined to be inadequately protected from the heat generated by the burner.
• 164 (1998-2008) XL Specialized Trailers and (2001-2008) 100 JPS jeep trailers with sliding fifth-wheel plates. These trailers may not have the proper welding pattern attaching the slider frame to the jeep frame.
• 651 (2007-2008) Karavan Trailers tandem axle trailers sold to Bombardier Recreational Products. The 45-foot tandem jumper brake lines may experience excessive rubbing.
• 2 (2006) K & D Class A motorhomes built on Winnebago chassis and equipped with Ricon platform style wheelchair lifts. These lifts fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 403, “Platform Lift Systems for Motor Vehicles.”
• 890 (2006-2008) Accubuilt Ford E150, E250, and E350 cargo vans equipped with Ricon platform style wheelchair lifts. These buses fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 404 and 403, “Platform Lift Installation in Motor Vehicles.”
• Certain Monaco motorhomeses for failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.” The middle side marker lights are non-reflective.
• 34 (2008) Coachmen Sportscoach Elite, Sportscoach Legend, and Sportscoach Pathfinder motorhomes equipped with SAF-Holland ADL Series rear suspensions. In some instances the transverse beam was not properly welded.
• 410 (2008) Jayco Jay Flight G2 series 32BHDS travel trailers. Some neutral 120-volt wires may not be properly installed under the neutral buss bar set.
• 43 (2006-2009) Damon Daybreak and 2009 Daybreak Sport motorhomes, 49 (2007-2008) Four Winds Hurricane and Windsport motorhomes and (2006-2009) Winnebago Sightseer and Vista, Itasca Sunova and Sunstar built on Workhorse recreational vehicle chassis. The castle nut that retains the steering drag link to the pitman arm may have been improperly torqued during assembly.
• 2,621 (2005-2009) Spartan K2, (2006-2009) MG and (2007-2009) MM motorhome chassis equipped with Putnam hitches. Certain trailer hitches may fracture which could result in the loss of the trailer.
• 42 (2006-2008) Cummings Ford E150, E350, Chevrolet Express, (2006) Ford E250, GMC Savanna, Dodge Sprinter conversion vans, and (2007) Newmar Dutchstar motorhomes equipped with Ricon platform style wheelchair lifts. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 404 and No. 403, “Platform Lift Installations in Motor Vehicles.”
• 717 motorhomes built on Workhorse chassis. The castle nut that retains the steering drag link to the pitman arm may have been improperly torqued during assembly.
• 594 (2008-2009) Winnebago Destination, Journey, Tour, Vectra, and Itasca Latitude, Meridian, Ellipse, and Horizon motorhomes equipped with SAF-Holland ADL Series rear suspensions. In some instances the transverse beam was not properly welded which could result in a failure of the weld.

• 23 (2006-2007) West Texas CEC, (2007) Elite, Sooner, and (2004-2007) Integrity and Exiss horse trailers.
• 4,677 (2004-2006) Damon Challenger, Daybreak, Intruder, (2004-2005) Escaper, Ultrasport and (2005) Astoria and Astoria Waldorf motorhomes.
• Certain (2003-2006) Cruiser RV Cruiser and Land Roamer fifth-wheel travel trailers.
• 64 (2005-2006) Pete’s Custom Conversions Platinum, Bloomer, and C&C living quarters horse trailers.
• 65 (2006-2007) Columbia Retreat (22-foot and 32-foot) travel trailers.
• 1 (2006) Universal Elite II trailer van.
• 17 (2005-2007) Allen Camper Outpost Lite (251 FB, 261 FL, 271 BH, 281 BHSS, and 325 FKDS) travel trailers and (2006) Idle Time (2900 FRLSS) fifth-wheel travel trailers.
• Certain Hy-Line recreational trailers.
• 1,434 Renegade truck conversions and trailers.
• 29 (2004-2006) Double B Trailers C&C, Platinum, 4-Star, (2006) Cargo, (2003-2006) Elite, (2004) Cherokee, and (2004) Bloomer horse trailers.
• 6 (2005 and 2007) Forks RV Surrey travel trailers.
• 9,581 (2005-2007) SunnyBrook RV fifth-wheel and travel trailers.
• 681 (2003-2007) Recreation by Design Luxury Dreams travel trailers.
• 13 (2004) Pegasus LQ and (2003-2006) Merhow LQ horse carriers.
• 7 (2003-2008) Cache Camper pickup campers.
• 1 (2006) Wheelhorse Conversions Integrity Legacy horse trailer.
• 423 (2003-2006) TL Industries Celebrity travel trailers.
• 98 (2007) Eclipse RV Attitude recreational vehicles.
• 5 (2003-2004) Techworks Cargo Trailers.
Meanwhile, the following recall has been issued with regard to an ongoing Norcold refrigerator recall:
• 4 (2000) Showtime Classic 53-foot car trailers and (2001) Showhauler 30-foot motorhomes.
