The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued recall notices for the following products related to the recreational vehicle industry:
• 110 (2007-2008) Roadtrek SS Agile Class B motorhomes built on Dodge and Freightliner Sprinter 2500 van chassis. The rear hitch mounted spare tire carrier (continental spare tire kit) impedes the full visibility of the left taillight.
• 13,662 Coachmen motorhomes, fifth-wheel and travel trailers equipped with glass shower doors. When pressure is applied to the towel bar on the glass shower door, the edge of the bar may contact the glass and glass breakage may occur.
• 1,003 (2007-2009) Forest River Georgetown motorhomes. The aluminum baggage door trim has loosened and is able to detach from the vehicle.
• 36 (2009) Winnebago Vista, Sightseer, and Itasca Sunstar and Sunova motorhomes. These vehicles were produced with a vehicle certification label that states load range “G” tires when in fact the vehicles are equipped with load range “F” tires.
• 10 (2008) Keystone RV Laredo fifth-wheel travel trailers because the federal identification label and tire and loading information label do not contain the correct gross axle weight rating (GAWR). The label indicates a capacity of 6,000 lbs, but instead should read 5,080 lbs. Also the tire size and maximum inflation pressure is listed at 235/80/R16E at 80 psi and it should be 225/75/R15D at 65 psi maximum inflation.
Additionally, the following have been issued in connection with an ongoing Dometic refrigerator recall:
• 552 (2003-2006) Duster horse trailers.
• 4,005 (2004 and 2006) Glendale RV Golden Falcon and (2004-2007 Titanium fifth-wheel and travel trailers and (2003 and 2005) Royal Classic motorhomes.
• 2 (2007) Titan motorhomes.
