The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) new powerboart registrations report has been updated through October 2017, and advance data show new powerboat registrations were up 4.7% year-over-year for the rolling 12-month period through October.
Highlights from the report include:
- Nearly all segments were up through October. Growth in registrations was led by the following segments: cruisers (up 9.7%), pontoons (up 7.4%), tow boats (up 6.7%) and personal watercraft (up 5.6%).
- Outboard boats were up 4.9% in registrations.
- Larger boats 27-feet and greater were up 7.7% through October.
