GOSHEN, IN, December 9, 2009 – It has been just over a year since Lippert Components, Inc. released the company’s first entrance door to the recreational vehicle (RV) market. Lippert is now building an average of 3,000 doors per week and providing the product to both the RV and cargo trailer markets.

“The entry door line continues to offer many new features and quality improvements that make our product unique, “said Brian Donat, director of marketing and product innovation. According to Donat, earlier this year the company introduced a keyless entry and lighted threshold design that both have now become standard on various brands shown at the 47th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, KY.

Keyless Entry by Lippert Components“Product improvements such as stainless steel screen door hinges and doubling the thickness of the interior screen door jamb are just some of the enhancements we have made to the product. Also, to enhance the value in the doors for manufacturers and dealers we now offer a security alarm option,” Donat added. When activated the security alarm triggers a siren that alerts the owners of the circumstances.

“In such a competitive market it is imperative that our new designs and enhancements directly impact the end user of the product. We are not looking to saturate the market with new products that have little to no value. We intend to help in the growth of the industry by connecting with the end user of our products,” he added.

Established in 1956, Lippert Components, Inc., is a manufacturer of steel chassis, slideouts, axles and a wide variety of other components for the RV and manufactured housing industries. A subsidiary of Drew Industries (NYSE:DW), White Plains, New York, the company has grown to become a leading supplier to many of the most successful RV and manufactured housing producers in the United States.
