Veteran RV wholesale sales rep Bill Murray, 62, passed away on Dec. 23.
Murray logged 12 years in the industry, most recently working for Forest River Inc.’s diesel division calling on the Midwest territory, and previously holding a sales rep position with Thor Motor Coach, the motorized division of Thor Industries Inc. Prior to entering the RV sector, Murray worked nearly 30 years with the 7-Up Bottling Co.
Murray grew up in Griffith, Ind., and was a 1972 graduate of Griffith High School. He was an avid sports enthusiast, lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, music connoisseur, master chef and enjoyed traveling across the country. He loved his family, friends and lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan Murray; daughter, Meghan (fiancé Brian Lantz) Murray; son, Anthony Murray; mother, Betty Murray; siblings, Karyn (Tom) Fish, Terri Murray, Larry (Sherri) Murray, Patti (Mike) Donovan, Jim Murray and Lorene (Tim) Kruchowski; uncles, Thomas (Lucille) Murray and Bob (Delores) Ellingsen; mother in law, Dolores Garastik; sisters in law, Pam (Jeff) Govert and Janet (Floyd) Gacsy; brother in law, Chris (Margaret) Garastik; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 29 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith.
