OHI’s 32nd George O’Leary National School Begins Feb. 22

The 32nd annual George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality is happening this month, and registration is still open for one of the industry’s most respected professional development programs, according to a press release.

Taking place February 22–27, 2026, at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia, National School brings together campground owners, managers, and outdoor hospitality professionals from across the country for an immersive, in-person learning experience designed to strengthen operations and grow careers.

As parks grow, leadership skills and business strategy need to grow with them. The George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality is a high-quality, cohort-based program taught by industry experts who understand the realities of running outdoor hospitality businesses. Students gain practical tools, proven systems, and strategic insight they can apply immediately at their parks.

“Attending the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality in Wheeling, West Virginia, was an incredible experience,” Doug Davis, owner of Douglas Forest RV Resort and National School graduate said. “The networking opportunities connected me with passionate professionals from all corners of the industry. The knowledgeable staff and instructors provided deep insights into the evolving landscape of outdoor hospitality, ensuring we left with actionable strategies for success. I walked away with new connections, fresh ideas, and a renewed drive to elevate my own projects.”

National School offers two distinct tracks designed to meet professionals where they are in their careers.

Outdoor Hospitality Manager (OHM) – Year One
Year One focuses on building confidence and competence in day-to-day operations. Participants develop a strong foundation in guest experience, leadership, financial basics, risk management, marketing, and operational systems that support safer, more profitable parks.

Outdoor Hospitality Professional (OHP) – Year Two
Year Two is an advanced program for experienced professionals ready to think strategically. This track emphasizes long-term planning, financial mastery, leadership culture, capital investment, risk resilience, and sustainable growth. Completion of the OHM Year One program is required.

National School is led by a diverse group of instructors with deep experience across the outdoor hospitality industry, including owners, executives, consultants, and subject-matter experts. Attendees can view the full instructor lineup on the event page or learn more about each instructor through features on the OHI blog.

Not sure how to ask your employer for approval? OHI offers both a standard and customizable employer ask email template to help start the conversation and highlight the value of attending National School.

There are only a few weeks before class is in session, register today.
