In an effort to establish itself more firmly in the United States’ retail market, Canadian manufacturer West Coast Leisure Homes Ltd., Penticton, B.C., introduced the flush-floor, dual-slideout Okanagan truck camper at last month’s National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky. The laminated fiberglass camper is nearly as wide as it is long when both opposing slides are in the camping mode. The 116ULT floorplan is 11 1/2 feet long and opens to 11 feet 5 inches with slides extended. The floorplan is mounted on a raised frame to allow flush slideout floors and create 40 cubic feet of basement storage. Okanagan features six floorplans from 8 feet in length retailing from about $32,000. Four floorplans can accommodate short-bed pickups. Company representatives attending the trade show for the first time since 1996 added seven American dealers while in Louisville.
