Tulsa, Okla.-based Digger Dean’s RV is more than 200 dump-truck loads of dirt into its expansion and still digging.

The Tulsa World reported that the dealership has crammed RVs into every possible nook and cranny within its eight acres. So the business is moving its operations to a 21-acre site one mile west of the current location near Interstate 44.

“We’ve just maxed out the real estate here,” said Randy Coy, president of Digger Dean’s since 1995. “We’ll probably fill it up really fast, as a matter of fact.”

BST Building Systems of Broken Arrow is the general contractor for the massive $9 million project expected to take about 1 1/2 years. Phase 1 entails moving the entire RV sales operation to the new location next March, weather permitting.

“We just had to get that done as quickly as possible,” Coy said.

The final phase, scheduled to begin in late 2015, involves building a new RV superstore with more service bays, larger accessory store and plenty of room for customers with huge RVs to pull in for service.
