William J. O’Leary was officially named on Wednesday (June 20) the vice president of product development at Winnebago Industries Inc.
O’Leary replaced Ron Buckmeier, who retired recently for health reasons.
Buckmeier was vice president of product development since 1997 and was involved in product development in other capacities at Winnebago for 25 years. Bruce Hertzke, Winnebago’s chairman, president and CEO, said Buckmeier was “instrumental in Winnebago Industries’ financial and market share success through his role in the introduction of innovative new motorhomes.”
Meanwhile, O’Leary has been a Winnebago employee since 1972. He has served in various positions including director of sales planning and distribution, director of product sales and, most recently, director of product planning.
