Chicago-based FreedomRoads LLC has acquired Olinger Travel Homes, establishing a presence in Portland, Ore., and further penetrating the West Coast recreational vehicle market.
According to a press release, the dealership, established in 1972 by Roland Olinger, is the all-time leading Itasca by Winnebago retailer. It has annual revenues of $50 million across two locations in Portland and nearby Hillsboro.
The full-service facilities feature 35,000 and 16,000 square feet respectively and have a total of 20 service bays.
Roland Olinger will continue to lead the dealerships with the support of the current management team including general managers Bruce Young and Milt Jonas. A Camping World store is planned for the Portland dealership.
West Coast Regional President Craig Jensen noted: “They have a great reputation in the market and know how to run a profitable business. Not only are they key in building our West Coast market, which spans from Seattle to Los Angeles, but we consider them an important part of our strategic national growth.”
“Like every dealership in our fast-growing dealer network, Olinger Travel Homes is a leader and at the top of their game,” added Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of FreedomRoads. “And like those who have joined FreedomRoads, they see that together we can drive the business to an even higher level by taking advantage of synergies. We’re thrilled to have another highly thought of dealership with great management on board, and one which shares our vision.”
FreedomRoads currently employs over 2,000 associates and owns and operates 57 locations in 22 states.
