The “Outlook 2007: Market Expansion Showcase” will kick off RVIA’s 44th Annual National RV Trade Show on Nov. 28, with multi-media presentations highlighting the Go RVing and RVIA public relations efforts that create awareness about RVing among consumers and build unity in the industry.
The event, taking place in the South Wing Lobby C Mezzanine Level Ballroom at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), begins at 6:15 a.m. with a sit-down breakfast followed by the program at 6:35 a.m.
Hosted by RVIA Chairman Carl Pfalzgraf, Outlook 2007 also will feature RVIA President Richard Coon providing insights on how RVIA is working to ensure future success for manufacturers, suppliers and dealers.
In a presentation titled “Here We Grow Again!” Go RVing Co-Chairman Don Walter and RVIA Vice President of Public Relations and Advertising Gary LaBella will report on the strong first-year results of the Phase IV “What Will You Discover? Go RVing” national advertising campaign. Co-Chairman Tom Stinnett will report on dealer tie-in opportunities that the campaign offers.
RVIA Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson will team with LaBella to review the media coverage of the industry during the past year in “Myths, Truths & Videotape.” The presentation culminates with “RVTV,” an entertaining highlight reel of the best in broadcast RV news and entertainment.
RVIA will also present its Distinguished Achievement in Journalism Award to Peter Greenberg at Outlook 2007. Greenberg, a national expert on travel, has been an RV travel booster since 2002. His RV coverage includes segments on ABC’s The View, Fox News Channel, NBC’s Today show, and MSNBC, as well as frequent mentions of RVs on his syndicated radio show.
He will share his views on why more of the traveling public is using RVs and the trends that may affect RV industry growth in the future.
As always, there will also be several other guest appearances and surprises on tap for Outlook 2007 attendees.
