Attempting to achieve a more residential feel, Fleetwood Enterprises Inc. debuted for 2005 a 36-foot Pace Arrow gasoline Class A motorhome with a 30-inch-deep, 23-foot long slideout floorplan and 84-inch interior ceilings. The Pace Arrow’s “full side” slide contains a free-standing dinette, stainless steel double-door refrigerator, hide-a-bed sofa and large bedroom wardrobe. French doors separate the bedroom suite for privacy. “After a year of development and rigorous validation testing, Fleetwood’s patent pending full-wall-slide system is positioned to elevate consumer expectations for space and comfort,” said Chris Braun, Fleetwood RV executive vice president. With six floorplans built on a 22,000-pound Workhorse W22 chassis equipped with a 340-hp 8.1 liter Vortec engine, Pace Arrow retails from $138,579. Options include the 24,000-pound GVWR Workhorse W24 chassis and six full body paint color schemes.
