Fleetwood RV announced today (April 6) it has entered into an agreement with Universal Pictures to supply Pace Arrow motorhomes for the production of the upcoming film “Meet The Fockers,” the sequel to the successful comedy film “Meet The Parents” that starred Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller.
The agreement calls for Fleetwood RV to supply Universal Pictures with three Pace Arrows, which will be used for interior, exterior and action scenes. According to Fleetwood, the RVs will undergo modifications by Universal to accommodate the production needs of the filmmakers.
Fleetwood is also considering additional promotions for to the film’s anticipated December release.
Although specific details were not disclosed, the Fleetwood Pace Arrow will figure prominently in the storyline.
Now that Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is “in” with his soon-to-be in-laws, Jack (Robert De Niro) and Dina (Blythe Danner) Byrnes, it looks like smooth sailing for him and his fiancée, Pam (Teri Polo). But that’s before Pam’s parents travel to Florida in their RV to meet Greg’s parents, the Fockers. The hyperrelaxed Fockers (Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand) and the tightly wound Byrneses are woefully mismatched from the start, and no matter how hard Greg and Pam try, there is just no bringing their families together, which all adds up to a disastrously funny time of “getting to know you,” according to promoters.
“We’re very excited to have one of our most popular RVs play a key part in such a highly anticipated movie featuring such prominent stars,” said Ed Caudill, President and CEO of Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc.  “The Pace Arrow’s appearance in ‘Meet The Fockers’ will introduce a whole new audience to RV travel and our line of RV products.”
