Jim and Sherry Shields of Pan Pacific RV Centers, Inc., in French Camp and Sacramento, Calif., will support the national Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Education Foundation’s RV Learning Center with a $25,000 contribution.
“Sherry and I think the Education Foundation’s RV Learning Center is the best investment we can make to provide education for the future generations of recreational vehicle dealers,” said Jim Shields, Pan Pacific’s president. “Of course, we have a son and son-in-law who will need the resources that the RV Learning Center will provide to preserve and continue with the prosperity that we have enjoyed this last 20 years. Therefore, investing in the RVDA Education Foundation’s RV Learning Center was an easy decision and we think a great way to ensure stability for the future generations in this great industry,”
Rick Horsey, of Parkview RV Center in Smyrna, Del., and chairman of the RVDA Education Foundation, said, “As a member of the RVDA Board of Directors, Jim has contributed immeasurably by sharing his understanding of the industry and how to be successful in it. I am thrilled to count him among the RV Learning Center’s supporters and extend my sincerest thanks for his generosity.”
The Shields’ contribution is part of an ongoing campaign to support the learning center. Dealers and their business partners are asked to contribute to the center, which is dedicated to providing dealers and their employees with innovative ways to operate RV dealerships; sharing proven methods and practices; and encouraging the highest professional standards for dealerships of all sizes.
learning center education programs will include distance learning; live workshops; online products; publications; and certification for RV dealership personnel.
