Free airfare, lodging and meals are among the enticements now available to prospective buyers of lots in the new Paradise Coach Resorts luxury motorhome campground near Las Vegas.
The $40 million, 381-lot facility opened in late April in Henderson, Nev., about 10 miles southeast of Las Vegas. As of last month, 10 lots had been sold and sites also are available for rent, according to Ruth Ahlbrand, sales and marketing manager for the property.
All lot development is completed, so lot owners and renters will not have to “eat dirt” during the final phases of construction, Ahlbrand said.
The construction of an 18,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style clubhouse, to be called Club Paradise, is planned for next year. Meanwhile, there are three clubhouses currently available for use by lot owners and renters. The clubhouses include showers, restrooms, laundry facilities, Internet access, TV lounges, a pool, spa and barbecue areas.
Paradise Coach Resorts is not a timeshare and lot buyers get a fee simple deed and title representing ownership of their lots. A Henderson city ordinance allows motorhome owners to stay in the resort for a maximum of six months at a time, but lot owners can allow Paradise Coach Resorts Property Management to rent their space while they are gone. The lot owner would get 60% of the rental proceeds and the resort would keep 40%.
The resort is available to the owners of Class A and Class C motorhomes that are at least 26 feet long. All lots are separated by green space and some common areas include waterfalls, creeks, bridges and walking trails.
The lot sizes range from 35 feet to 50 feet wide and 75 feet to 85 feet long and all have 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric service, two phone lines, water, sewer and cable TV connections.
