Recreational park trailer builder Kropf Industries Inc. is expanding operations at its Goshen, Ind., factory that will increase production capacity by 25%.
“We’ve been seeing quite a large backlog for the past three or four years, so we decided to increase our output so that our dealers don’t have to wait so long for product,” said Curt Yoder, vice president of Kropf Industries.
Yoder said the company would be adding 8,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space to its existing 52,000-square-foot plant.
The manufacturer also plans to hire a dozen new employees, boosting its work force from 55 to 67. The expansion is slated to be completed by March.
While Kropf has traditionally sold most of its park trailers to campground operators and consumers in the eastern part of the country, the expansion would enable the company to reach additional markets.
