Recreational vehicle and manufactured housing supplier Patrick Industries Inc. has engaged n/Frame Inc. to provide assistance during a disaster recovery situation.
According to a press release, in cases of extreme emergency when Patrick’s employees could not work from the company’s headquarters in Elkhart, Ind. – or from any one of its 27 manufacturing and distribution centers in the U.S. – n|Frame would deploy mobile recovery units provided by Agility Recovery Solutions.
Patrick said the units function as sophisticated and independent command centers on wheels, equipped by n/Frame with the advanced technologies, tools, office space and infrastructure required by companies in crisis.
Resembling a double-wide mobile home, each Agility unit is fully-furnished and is pre-wired for satellite Internet bandwidth, data connectivity and telecommunications. Units also come with the latest model computers, phones, printers, fax machines and servers, and includes a diesel generator for immediate power, heat and air conditioning, as well as many other business amenities and creature comforts.
Robert J. Alcorn, COO for Carmel, Ind.-based n|Frame, explained that in today’s business climate, it is no longer enough to simply recover data after a crisis. “You need to be able to keep people working before, during and after a disaster – and that means providing employees with a professional office environment and access to phones, the Internet, systems and company data.”
Sue Penick, director of MIS for Patrick Industries, noted: “The n|Frame-Agility solution is basically an insurance policy for our ERP system. If one of our offices is destroyed in a fire, during a storm, or as the result of a crime, this level of disaster recovery protection guarantees that we get back up and running as soon as possible. Additionally, this solution also maintains expected service levels to our customers.”
