Bill Plemmons RV World, with three locations in Rural Hall, Raleigh and Salisbury, N.C., just released their latest sales figures for 2009 year-to-date.
In a period of acknowledged tough economic times, the dealership group was able to achieve an impressive increase of 22% in total unit sales compared to the same period in 2008, according to a news release.
“This year’s sales to date has already broken our longtime company record set years ago during much healthier economic times,” said Steve Plemmons, owner of Bill Plemmons RV World. “In October alone, our Rural Hall store is up 190% compared to the same month last year.”
Healso reported that the Raleigh location increased 100% in October over last year and that although only open for just three months, the Salisbury location is already exceeding initial projections.
“It makes all of us excited to bring in the new year,” Plemmons continued. “We believe this trend will continue to grow into 2010 and we will also improve our overall market share.”
Due to the growth in sales, the company also increased their staff size by by 10 people. This increase boosted their overall employee base by 15% and created several new positions within the dealerships.
“We added several new product lines this year which made a big difference in the selection we are able to offer to our customers,” Plemmons said. “But mostly, I credit our team and our new employees for this success. They stepped up their commitment to superlative customer service and our improved sales numbers exemplify their efforts. I’m really proud of the job they’ve done this year.”
