RV industry veteran Bill Prinz has joined start-up towables manufacturer Potomac RV LLC, and since March 1, he has been responsible for sales, marketing, product development and customer service at the Elkhart, Ind. firm.
Prinz was vice president of sales and marketing at Jayco Inc., Middlebury, Ind., until shortly before the industry’s National Trade Show in Louisville in December.
In addition to his executive duties, Prinz also is a member of the Potomac board and an investor in the company, which went into operation in October and shipped its first units in November.
Potomac was founded by former Holiday Rambler and Damon Motor Coach executive James E. “Jim” Johnson.
“Jim and I have known each other for a long time,” Prinz said. “I have a lot of respect for him and his approach to doing business. I’m a great believer that this business is built on relationships and Potomac is building wonderful manufacturer/dealer relationships.”
Potomac builds “reasonably priced” travel trailers and fifth-wheels “with the solid feel and residential look of a home,” according to a company statement.
“Looking at the product, they’ve done it right,” Prinz said. “Potomac offers a very, very high quality product for a start-up company.”
