The Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association (PRVCA), in conjunction with Northampton Community College, will offer the RV Heating Systems Course June 4 through July 1.
According to a press release, the last of the four LP-burning appliances will be presented in this course. Though earlier designs of RV heaters and furnaces are discussed, the main focus is on the forced air furnace. Its sophistication and compactness both contribute to its difficulty in servicing. Like the other three appliances, each component part is dissected and discussed individually, as is the furnace, as a whole. Subjects covered include furnace installation, diagnosing operational faults, repairing and testing.
The program is approved by the RV Industry Association (RVIA) and qualifies for 32 recertification hours. Courses are designed for RV maintenance and sales personnel, service managers, factory field technicians, service representatives, inspectors and those seeking a new, hands-on career in a growing industry.
Recertification Hours: 32 hours
Employees of PRVCA members receive a 50% reimbursement on tuition and textbooks.
