Folding camping trailer manufacturer Livin’ Lite Recreational Vehicles LLC, Goshen, Ind., has introduced a hybrid Quicksilver truck camper with a base retail price of $2,795. “It is a miniature version of our tent camper RV scaled down to fit in the six-foot bed of a pickup truck,” Quicksilver sales rep Rick Tribble reported. Appearing to be a folding camping trailer without wheels with tent-like bed extensions folding out from both sides, the Quicksilver weighs 300 pounds empty and can be loaded into a truck by two people. The unit, which features aluminum and composite construction, is self-bracing and extends 10 inches above the height of the truck bed when closed.
