Randy Biles, owner of Pikes Peak Traveland Inc., in Colorado Springs, Colo., received the prestigious James B. Summers (JBS) Award as part of the Sept. 23-26 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas hosted by the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA).
Biles is a past RVDA chairman and currently serves on the RV Assistance Corp. (RVAC) board, the RVDA-RVIA Technician Certification Governing Board and the RVDA Education Foundation board. He is also the RVDA Industry Relations Committee chairman and a member of the RV Technician magazine review group.
“Randy Biles has served on just about every RVDA committee, sometimes three at a time, and is a guiding light in dealers and manufacturer relations,” said Ernie Friesen, owner of All Seasons RV Center, Yuba City, Calif., and 2007 JBS award recipient. Friesen presented the award to Biles at the Sept. 24 RVDA annual meeting.
According to RVDA, the JBS Award recognizes individuals who make a consistent and outstanding contribution to the association and its members. RVDA’s Board of Directors selects the award recipient based on nominations made by the association’s membership.
