Joe Range, owner of Range RV, Hesperia, Calif., was recognized as the 2008 Top Quality Dealer of the Year during the Sept. 23-26 Dealers International Convention/Expo at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas hosted by the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA).
Range accepted the award with his wife, Cherie, on behalf of the dealership as part of the Sept. 24 RVDA annual meeting.
Range is a past RVDA chairman and former member of the RV Assistance Corp. (RVAC) board. Range is also an RV Learning Center contributor, a founding member and past president of CalRVDA, and received RVDA’s James B. Summers (JBS) award in 2006.
“I am extremely honored to receive this award,” Range said. “I have always liked the RV lifestyle and enjoyed family vacations touring the country in our RV, which inspired me to open my own dealership.”
“The industry has changed a lot since I started, and even though it’s tough right now, I think we will be OK.”
In 1989, Range RV moved its operations to a 10-acre lot in Hesperia. Recently, a 10,000-square-foot facility was completed which consists of a large indoor showroom, training rooms and a museum and cafe for customers’ and employees’ education and comfort.
According to RVDA, the Top Quality Dealer of the Year Award recognizes dealerships that, through their professionalism, “promote a positive image of RV travel, RV dealers and the RV industry at large.”
