Holiday RV Superstores Inc., the six-location dealership chain doing business as Recreation USA, has opened its rebuilt Clermont, Fla., store and signed agreements to add Camping World aftermarket accessories stores at its South Carolina and New Mexico locations.
The Clermont store, located west of Orlando, will stock nearly $9 million in inventory, primarily new motorhome brands from Winnebago Industries Inc. and Fleetwood Enterprises Inc., along with Thor Industries Inc.’s Dutchmen and Keystone towables, according to Marcus Lemonis, chairman, president and CEO.
“This superstore (in Clermont) also features an expansive service, parts and collision center that is unmatched throughout the central Florida area,” he added.
Recreation USA’s Clermont location was destroyed by fire in April 2001 but it was rebuilt and had a “soft” grand opening on Oct. 10. The Clermont store’s official grand opening was Friday (Nov. 1).
Recreation USA also closed its nearby Winter Garden, Fla., store last week and consolidated that operation into the Clermont store.
Lemonis believes the Clermont store will be Recreation USA’s largest, generating $25 million to $30 million in annual sales revenue.
Recreation USA had $61.2 million in sales from all of its locations for the nine months that ended July 31.
Meanwhile, Lemonis said Camping World stores will open at the Recreation USA dealerships in Spartanburg, S.C., and Las Cruces, N.M.
Currently, there are 30 Camping World store locations, including several at major RV dealerships such as Lazydays RV SuperCenter near Tampa, Fla., and Beaudry RV in Tucson, Ariz.
Camping World and TL Enterprises Inc., publisher of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.COM, both are units of Affinity Group Inc.
