Holiday RV Superstores Inc., the dealership chain that operates as Recreation USA, has signed an agreement to buy Emerald Coast RV Center Inc., a four-location dealership group in the Florida Panhandle and Alabama.

Recreation USA will pay cash, stock and notes for Emerald Coast, which has annual sales revenue of more than $40 million.

Additional financial details about the transaction were not revealed.

Emerald Coast operates dealerships in Pensacola and Panama City, Fla., and Dothan and Robertsdale, Ala.

Emerald Coast was founded in 1990 by Al Binford, who said his four locations include full-service repair centers that are authorized to handle warranty and insurance repairs as well as installations for most RV manufacturers and chassis makers.

As was the case with three previous acquisitions by Holiday RV Superstores, Emerald Coast was a part of the RV Centers Inc. dealership roll-up effort that flopped last year. The other participants in the RV Centers effort that have since been acquired by Holiday RV Superstores include County Select Cars of Ocala, Fla., Hall Enterprises of Lexington, Ky., and Little Valley Auto & RV Sales of West Virginia.

Once the Emerald Coast acquisition is completed, Holiday RV Superstores will have 18 locations in eight sates with annual sales revenue of around $250 million.
