La Mesa RV Center has reopened its Davis, Calif.,  store after seeing what it believes are signs of an economic recovery.

The store, which closed last year, reopened this week with about 20 employees, said Tim O’Connor, CFO. The San Diego-based recreational vehicle dealer had closed a store in San Bernardino at the same time as Davis, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.

The Davis store near Interstate 80 and Mace Boulevard is the company’s seventh U.S. dealership.

La Mesa initially will offer more than 100 certified-used vehicles, including models from Winnebago Industries Inc., Fleetwood Enterprises Inc., Monaco Coach Corp. and Tiffin Motor Homes Inc., the company said in a news release. The inventory includes motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth-wheels. For now, La Mesa will sell used RVs, as manufacturers appointed other dealers to sell new models.

La Mesa first set up shop in Davis in 1998. It had about 35 employees when it closed last fall, O’Connor said.
