Membership in Recreational Dealers Exchange Co. (REDEX) LLC, a dealership-based buying group, grew from 17 to 29 dealers in November and December.

REDEX President Paul Skogebo, president of Robert Crist and Co. RV, Mesa, Ariz., attributed the sudden addition of 12 members to the 6-year-old organization to a change in the buying group’s floor financing program through a new arrangement with Key Bank.

REDEX’s previous agreement with Newcourt Financial, which was sold to CIT Group, required members to finance their inventories through Newcourt.

REDEX offers group discounts for services such as parts and accessories, extended warranties, open-lot insurance, retail credit fees, insurance and long-distance telephone rates.

The firm, a cooperative of dealerships, was formed in 1995 and intends to cap its membership at between 40 and 50 dealerships.
